Oral sex is the stimulation of the genitals using the mouth and tongue. It is one of the ways that sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are most frequently passed on. You can catch a STI if you have just one sexual partner, but the chance of catching an infection increases the more partners you have.
STIs that are commonly caught through oral sex are: chlamydia. gonorrhoea. genital herpes, and syphilis. If you suspect you may be infected, you need to see your family doctor or go to a walk-in clinic.
